Beaches And Islands In Pakistan

If you talk about Pakistan’s dramatic, stunning places to visit, then associate primarily to the beautiful areas of North Pakistan. However, Pakistan also has some other attractive spots.

So, the Arabian sea with many beautiful beaches along the Pakistani coastline lies on the south side of the country.

There are many amazing islands in Pakistan, like many other countries. But these places are quite ignorant for the people of Pakistan. These islands are in the Arab Sea from the Pakistan side.

Such places are now the major tourist attractions sites after the situation in Pakistan has been stable. 

So, here you will be no more ignorant of such tourist sites. They are no less in beauty than the other islands in the world.  Thousands of tourists visiting these places every year as they have earned the name of Pakistan’s most beautiful islands.

Shams Pir Island

The Shams Pir is close to Kemari (near Mauripur and Sandspit Beach). You will have an abundance of activities including scuba diving, yachting, pedal boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, snorkelling, and sunbathing.

Astola Island

Astola is known for being the largest Offshore Island of Pakistan. However, the closest coast is approximately 25 km. However, it is easy to reach as it is near to the southeast from the fishing Port of Pasni, on the Arabian Sea, which is 39 km away.  People know it as the Seven Hills or the Haft Talar.

History reveals that Alexander the Great sent Admiral Nearchos to conquer the Arabian Sealine, described Astola formally in 325 BCE. 

The Pasni’s motorboats enter a picturesque peninsula that comprises a large platform. This is a collection of seven small rocks and fissures and multiple feet wide. 

Churna Island

Almost 9 kilometers west of the Hub River is The island of Churna, sometimes named as “Cheerno”. This is a remote uninhabited island in the Arabian Sea. The fishers ‘ center, Mubarak village, is 6 km from the area. Its specialty is that you can find the many unique fish species, crabs, lobsters, and uncommon green tortoises. the place has the attraction as the sport place where you can play games like,

Bundal Island

Bundal Island is on the Arabian Sea off the Karachi coast. People mostly go there to see the tomb of Sufi Muslim Yusuf Shah, which draws thousands of people on his annual death anniversary. Bahria Town is now building there: the world’s largest building, the largest shopping centre, a sports town, and a media city on this island. The purpose of this advancement is for tourist attraction. 

Manora Island

Manora Island is about 15-20 minutes far from the Port of Karachi by ship. It is on the south side. A long road of Sandspit stretching into Hawkes Bay connects Manora island to the city. However,  the long sandy beaches, the natural scene with the landscape, tropical forests, and the tallest lighthouse make it a famous picnic place.

Sukkur Island

The island of Sukkur is an isolated fortress on a rock in the Indus between the cities of Rohri and Sukkur. It has been constructed by bricks and is counted as a great archaeological excavation. There were many houses and mosques in the interior of this island that demonstrate the classically Muslim heritage. Today, Army Public school and Sayyid Sadruddin’s tomb have their place on the island.

Bhit Islands

Baba & Bhit Islands is not just the name of one island. It is about three islands that are connected by three small fishing islands in the middle of Karachi port.  It is the home of many ethnic minorities that are living there for centuries.  Muhajir, Sindhi, Punjabis, Kashmiri, Seraiki, Pakhtun, Balochis, Memons, Bohras, and Ismailis are the minorities of this place. 

Malan Island

A mud volcano emerges as Malan Island. It is situated off the shores of Balochistan in the Arab Sea. In March 1999, it rose overnight and went down below the sea level in a year. It emerged again in 2010.  

Khiprianwala Island

The island of Khiprianwala is on the Arabian Sea off the Karachi coast. There are many unique marine species on this island. This island is mainly popular among marine researchers.
